Q-STAT

A cost effective and reliable slip-on swelling seal where moderate pressure ratings are required. Easy field installation on production tubing and casing.

Q-Stat seals are manufactured on a metal core with integrated metal running guides. Since the design is to be mounted on the base pipe near the well site, no shipping of tubing back and forth to our manufacturing plant is required. Main advantage is that the full inside length of the slip-on seal consists of the same swelling elastomer as present on the outside, providing an optimal closure of the annular space between the element and the tubing.

Standard available seal element lengths are 1ft, 1.5ft and 3ft with a pressure rating up to, resp, 1000 psi, 1500 psi and 3000 psi. Length and OD are designed to meet specific well conditions. Associated in-house developed simulation software (Q-Configurator) provides corresponding technical data showing swell performance and pressure rating.

The Q-Stat is available in water swelling (blue), oil swelling (red) , combo (blue/red) or hybrid (black – swell in both oil & water). Available in sizes from 2-3/8” up to 13-5/8”

Additional features are integrated control line feedthrough slots, To prevent the risk of galvanic corrosion, the integrated running guides are provided in the metallurgy (i.e. 13Cr, Incoloy, etc.) that complies with the base pipe it is to be mounted on.
