History

Founded in 1937 Ruma has built up a huge knowledge and experience in rubber technology. With the in house compound development in our laboratory and a team of process and mechanical engineers our key is to work closely with our customers to design elastomer solutions in multiple disciplines.

The unique development in the year 2000 resulted in highly reliable and cost effective swelling seals that changed the world. Since the first water swell packers were run in 2001, oil swelling and hybrid swelling seals followed soon after and swell packers were soon adapted by the oil & gas industry.
